Unseasonably warm April weekend in Point Pelee National Park! This unforgettable trip during spring migration marked the beginning of an incredible year. Sharing it with the perfect companion made it truly exceptional.

My mother turned 75 and even though there were some health scares, she continues to be resilient. She has always been my idol.

Embracing the unseasonable warmth on April 28th, I took the plunge into Lake Erie’s chilly 6°C waters. That invigorating moment encapsulated the thrill I’ve experienced throughout the year – a year marked by calculated risks and newfound joys.
I participated in a Jane’s Walk, a guided tour that offered a glimpse into the Portlands development. This unique opportunity allowed me to learn and witness the evolving landscape of this area.
Summer solstice was super chilled and turned out summer was pretty darn good too.
Went to the Hillside Music festival for the first time and had a lot of fun.
Was exceptionally lucky to have quite a few lake swims in the summer! @Wolfe Island
Went for the first time mushroom foraging. Ate the most amazing mushrooms that I was lucky to have spotted.
I had an October lake swim to end the great lake swims I was lucky to have in 2024. Hopefully more lake swim in 2025.
