On December 1st, I quit sugar. It has made the odd person out at parties but the more I resist the temptation of sugar treats, the better I feel about not having something my body doesn’t need. (6-9 teaspoons is most people’s requirements). With natural sugars already occurring in food I eat, like squash, sweet potato, yogurt, my daily requirements of sugar are met pretty fast.
As I enter the new phase (introducing fruit) in another month, I’ll keep you updated, possibly even another recipe.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons of yogurt (plain)
1-2 teaspoons salt
crackers (without sugar)
cucumber
fresh dill
Take yogurt, add about a 1-2 teaspoons of salt and place in a funnel in a cheese cloth and drain over night. The next morning it will have thick cream cheese texture.
Add a dollop of cream cheese over cucumber on crackers. Top with chopped dill (or any herb you like).
